American coworking space operator Venture X, currently present in 10 countries, is preparing to open its first location in Portugal, on Avenida da Liberdade in Lisbon.
Worx Real Estate Consultants represented the owner of the building in its marketing. JLL’s Tenant Representation team supported the company in the search, selection and negotiation of a 733 square meter office space in the Liberdade 224 building.
Venture X’s general management said in a statement that “Venture X is starting its operations in Portugal with the determination to boost the coworking market by implementing contemporary spaces and adopting innovative technologies for client integration. It will also establish strategic partnerships with local companies with a view to the continued development of the sector in the country”.
Its primary objective, says the company, “is to establish itself in central areas, guaranteeing easy access to transportation infrastructure, commerce and services. The essential collaboration of Worx and JLL was fundamental in the process of researching and negotiating the first property for Venture X, demonstrating a solid commitment to excellence and the success of this venture.”
Fábio Fontes, a consultant at Worx Real Estate Consultants, says that “Liberdade 224 is in an exceptional location, which continues to attract interest from companies looking to set up in Portugal. In this case, the level of investment made in the building by the owner was also decisive in the success of this deal.”
For her part, Sofia Tavares, Head of Office at JLL, points out that “due to the hybrid work regime, the flexibility of the areas of occupation/jobs and also the short duration of contracts, the demand for flexible spaces has seen a big increase and marks a trend that seems to be here to stay. More and more companies are looking for this type of space.”
