As part of our strategic partnership with BNP Paribas Real Estate, we share the Pan-European Footfall Analysis 2021-2022 publication.
This study aims only to provide a snapshot of the prime inner-city pedestrian traffic in September 2021; the situation has been constantly evolving since then, with footfall recovering further over the autumn. Also, in-store average spending and conversion rates are key to retail performance.
The findings suggest that some level of normality has been restored to European downtown prime pitches: brick-and-mortar premises still have traction, city centres are proving their appeal, along with some new retail models and formats that are being successfully introduced.
