Salt Services, one of Switzerland’s leading telecoms operators, now occupies the entire Places Alvalade co-working space, as a result of the growth of its operation in Portugal. The operation was advised by Worx.
The building is the result of the complete refurbishment and conversion of the historic Cinema Quarteto, in the Alvalade neighbourhood, into flexible office space with capacity for 155 workstations with several meeting rooms, collaborative spaces, equipped pantry, terrace and an exclusive rooftop of the building.
Its location, close to the Entrecampos transport interface and Roma metro station, as well as the variety of services in its immediate vicinity, were the key to Salt choosing the Places Alvalade building as the site of its next service centre in Lisbon for the next few years.
Stefano Orlando, Salt‘s CEO, considers that “the new office space is perfectly aligned with our mission, providing our employees with an inspiring and pleasant environment where they can thrive both professionally and personally. The move not only reinforces our commitment to their well-being, but also improves collaboration and innovation within our team.”
Fábio Fontes, consultant at Worx Real Estate Consultants, also considered it a “challenge”, as the market is constrained by the supply of offices in the city centre with the characteristics that Salt Services was looking for. “When I visited Places Alvalade, I knew immediately that it was the ideal space for Salt. The quality of the space, combined with the fact that it has a private rooftop and allows Salt Services to be the only occupant of the building, made it the natural choice for its next space in Lisbon,” he said.
