WellBe: new building on the market in Parque das Nações

The first office building in Lisbon to achieve WELL Platinum and Passive House certification has already begun construction and ATENOR (the developer) has now selected the agents who will exclusively market the space: Worx Real Estate Consultants and Cushman & Wakefield. The project, which goes by the name of WellBe, is located in Parque das Nações, on the last available plot on Avenida D. João II. It is a unique project that aims to exceed market standards in Portugal, both in terms of flexibility and sustainability, due to its reduced carbon footprint.

Well Be comprises 27,635 sq.m of office space, spread over 11 floors, and is located in one of Lisbon’s most important business centers, Parque das Nações. The project has a large area of green space, fantastic views over the River Tagus and a range of services that go far beyond the work activity or the building itself.

Well Be no Parque das NaçõesWellBe’s construction data doesn’t stop there: in addition to the offices, there will be 1,240 sq.m of retail space, 1,865 sq.m of terraces, 267 private parking spaces (plus 129 public parking spaces), a bicycle park, showers and lockers for its employees, a gym, wellness centers, among other features that guarantee a state-of-the-art building management system.

In addition to the WELL Platinum and Passive House certification, which reinforces the building’s focus on the well-being of its users, visitors and the community in general, the development also aims to have ADENE’s class A energy certificate, as well as the BREEAM Excellent and WiredScore certifications, confirming its sustainable construction, reduced environmental impact and use of state-of-the-art technology.

According to Gregory VAN der ELST, ATENOR’s Country Director in Portugal, “WellBe is ATENOR’s first project in Portugal. It’s a project that we’re very proud of, as it will mark a turning point in the real estate market in Portugal. WellBe is much more than a building, it represents a new way of working and living, where technology combined with sustainability raise the levels of comfort and well-being to levels never before seen in the office market in Portugal.”

For Bernardo Zammit e Vasconcelos, Head of Agency at Worx, “It is projects of this quality and with levels of compliance with the most demanding sustainability and innovation criteria that raise the bar for office space in Lisbon. WellBe will make a difference in the sector and will certainly be a trend setter for organizations that want to offer the highest quality facilities – at all levels – to their employees.”

For Carlos Oliveira, Partner at Cushman & Wakefield Portugal, “WellBe is one of the most important projects in the office sector in Portugal. Due to its size, architecture, location and innovative environment for occupants, it is certainly a benchmark for quality and innovation. C&W is extremely proud to be part of this project.”
