The industrial and logistics market now presents a renewed attractiveness. The increase in online commerce, the need to stock up on increased consumption when the post-pandemic economy reopens and to deal with inflation have led to a significant increase in demand from operators for logistics space.

Initially, the more immediate needs for expansion and/or relocation led many occupiers to develop their own projects given the reduced supply of quality.

However, more and more of these are available for lease or built to suit solutions as developers have become more active in the market with new product development, including several international players speculatively entering Portugal. This follows increased levels of demand and heightened investor interest in this asset class.
